Sometimes the incremental death damage doesn't start ticking after the status is in effect. I've noticed it sometimes works with blood claws, sometimes doesn't. I'm wondering because I used to play Nexuswar as a kid and remember the old wiki having short stories/interesting IC snippets for skills/some locations and items at the bottom. Does anyone remember this? Some of those short stories were SO GOOD and I'd like to read them again.
