I was going to let YFNH claim this one as they started it on Discord but failed to post the submission for like a week despite me pinging them every day.
Problem: Rolling for a good alchemical recipe is tedious.
Proposed solution: Allow "locking in" of one (or none) components of a recipe when resetting the recipe (AKA when rerolling the recipe AKA when you know all of the components necessary to brew a set of potions of a certain type e.g. Potion of Healing). Rarity ratios would still need to be preserved, as would the required-for-everyone component.
This would ideally stack; after six "good" rolls, you should be able to have a combination of components that you like.
Further, when all of the components are "locked in", re-allow forgetting the entire thing to start from scratch.
Predicted effect of solution: Everyone would eventually be able to get a set of recipes they're happy with, if they so desire. This should reduce the gap between the 'lucky' and 'unlucky', as well as between the bigger factions and smaller ones (bigger factions have more people, therefore more AP/MP/component support to reroll, therefore more chances to get the good rolls).
