Skills: Summon Apparitions (Doom Howler)

Class: Doom Howler
Skill: Summon Apparitions
Cost: CP 60
Skill Location: Child of Phantasmal Terror

Rationale: I watch too may horror films and dont sleep properly. Real thoughts - it causes attackers to believe there are more targets than there are, waste a small amount of AP dispelling them and gives the Doom Howler a short lived defensive boon against those that attack it after attacking its apparitions.

Skill: Doom Howler is able to summon apparitions to populate the area.
Cost: 3ap / 15mp
Duration: 30 Status ticks
  • When a Doom Howler casts this ability between 3-5 apparitions appear in the area.
  • These apparitions are copies of the Doom Howler and fill up the player bar. As an outside observer it appears as if the Doom Howler is present multiple times (image below).
  • The combat pane would be populated by the Doom Howler and the apparitions one after the other each being "Player Name"
  • Each apparition has zero hp/ap/mp and can be dispelled by a single attack against it which causes it to disappear. The attacking player receives a notification along the lines of "You attack Doom Howler with your Umbral Sword and hit for 0 points of cold damage. It was an Apparition! It has disappeared". Only one dispelling attack is required and it goes away for everyone.
  • Upon attacking an apparition it causes a single minute instance of Phantasmal Terror and stacks per apparition dispelled. So max 5 mins.
  • Any adjustment to the true Doom Howler such as lower HP/MP graphics bars is replicated on the apparitions
  • They follow the Doom Howler around for the duration of the summon
  • They appear on map as if they were chars
  • Factionmates can tell the real Doom Howler amongst the crowd (perhaps greyed out names or "an apparition" instead)
  • The apparitions only appear in the population bar and the combat panel so passing items to them or any other char engagement is unchanged etc
  • Pets are not fooled by apparitions and will not consider them a target. But the PM will for singular attacks
  • Not impacted by AOE
  • Could have it that this cant be cast again for a cool down period or until all apparitions are gone.
  • If a DH is hiding their apparitions are not. So hiding will just make them really easy to pick out for an ES char

Would suggest this be affected by AoE, would be picked up by Enhanced Senses or similar and would confuse pets (they'd be able to tell the difference thanks to their ES, but wouldn't be able to discern them as undesirable targets)
