Currently when you parry/turn a spell the spell still applies it’s side effects e.g. capstone and hexes.
I think it would make more sense for this to not apply these effects (as if you had dodged or phased the attack)
- Moishe from Accounting attacked you with an Arctic Bolt spell and hit for 0 points of cold damage. This attack also negated your Invulnerability status effect and replaced it with the Drained status effect for 10 status ticks. The attack left a lingering chill! Your familiarity spells allowed you to reflexively nullify the arcane energies. You spent 1 Magic Point. (2022-06-03 21:10:31).
When Spell parry/turning triggers negate spell side-effects
Re: When Spell parry/turning triggers negate spell side-effects
Oh I’d also like to suggest (if it’s not already the case) that when a spell with effects is turned it applies those effects to the caster .
Re: When Spell parry/turning triggers negate spell side-effects
The caster is immune to the effects as it has maxed spell affinity.

Wait, I thought that resistance conferred immunity, and spell mastery doesn't give you resistance just soak?
Though even if so there are other effects (like hex!) which could also be turned.

Tbf, I'm not entirely sure, plus the wiki isn't quite clear.
