Corpse interaction for non-Wolf-Revenants?

Would this consume the corpse? If so, would that cause long-term issues for Lich and finding corpses for pets?

I thought about the lich problem, but it is a funny suggestion so I posted anyway

Corpses are a limited resource, but in this case a wounded (but not killed) Wyrm Master should be a rare enough occurrence that it's not that much of a reduction in that resource.
