Archon:
Significant updates to the Archon class have been made to improve the effects and ease-of-use of the core class skill, Divine Vengeance.
* Removed the 1 MP per attack cost of Blade of Light since the MP cost of attacks is part of the core skill.
* Combined Word of Censure and Word of Opprobrium effects into Word of Censure, which will now bypass both defense and phasing.
* Word activation and deactivation buttons are now all drawn from a single dropdown instead of a bunch of freestanding buttons.
* Divine Vengeance Word Mechanics have been broadly expanded. Purchasing other Archon skills will either improve a Word or add a new Word. Skill synergies include:
- Glyph Mastery doubles the bonus of Word of Abolition if the target is a Glyph.
- Eye of Judgment, Dread Gaze and Forceful Punishment each grant Word of Condemnation one (stacking) point of Soak bypass.
- Word of Recall and Song of the Word each grant +1 damage to Word of Wrath for a potential total of 6.
- Cosmic Affinity unlocks Word of Nullification, which destroys 2 MP from a player or pet target with every successful hit.
- Cosmic Mastery changes the effect of Word of Nullification from MP destruction to MP drainage, granting the lost MP to the Archon.
- While under the effects of Word of Nullification, demon kills in direct combat (not AOE) will regenerate a Prayer bead charge if the Archon has Beads of the Rapture.
- Greater Infusion unlocks Word of Dominion. While it is active, direct combat hits on a player or pet target on Evil territory will deal a point of passive infusion.
- Hand of Zealotry unlocks Word of Dominion if Greater Infusion has not been bought. If both skills have been bought, it extends the benefit to Unaligned territory and doubles the benefit on Evil territory.
- Holier Than Thou doubles the benefit of Word of Dominion on Evil territory and extends it to Unaligned territory if only Hand of Zealotry has been bought. If both Hand of Zealotry and Greater Infusion have been bought, it triples the benefit on Evil territory and doubles it on Unaligned territory.
- Blade of Light unlocks Word of Valor, which grants +2 damage with close-quarters attacks against all targets.
- Wings allows attacking grounded targets while flying (and vice versa) while under the influence of Word of Valor.
Game Mechanics:
* Stygian Murder Wasps, Phoenix, Hydrodragon, Origami Dragon, Swarm of Locusts, Possessed Thrall and Crystal Guardian now attack flyers.
* Cirri, Gnome, Ember and Naiad no longer can see invisible characters.
* Blood Frenzy in alchemy research side-effects has been replaced with Blood Magic.
* Tainted Bond now deals the full base damage of the spell as supplemental damage instead of half.
* Respawning now grants you XP equal to your level.
Quality of Life and Interface:
* Faction chatbox no longer requires 1 AP to be used while being a (typically) 0 AP action while possessing speech points.
* Faction announcements follow the same logic as chatbox - typically a 0 AP action, 1 AP action if out of speech points.
* Learned spell portion of character page has been compressed and some spell types have been clarified.
* Added Foo Lions to per character settings preconfigured names
* Fixed some issues with blank forum structure link pathing.
Major Bugs:
* Stygian Fury should now grant MP correctly.
* Fixed an issue with the check for prior CP expenditure that was keeping Tier 2 characters from learning Tier 2 Acid or Electric spells.
* Fixed Transcend Spellgem being unable to proc off pray --> magic.
* Fixed Thorough Desecration not triggering off pet kills.
* Fixed Desecration not triggering off vassal pet kills.
* Fixed the Bone Trinket upper limit cap.
* People should no longer get messages telling them that nonexistant enchantments went dormant on weapons that aren't enchanted and often aren't even enchantable.
* Supplemental damage now correctly calculates damage/soaks
* Alchemical recipes now correctly assign the required component
* Buyback actions no longer persist past a character reset.
* Fixed an issue where Tattoo of the Dragons Strength claimed to provide a barricade-building bonus but actually didn't.
* Fixed defaulting starting items to being pristine to not include the default Fist/Kick attack.
* Oath of Battle now only applies when the actual Oath of Battle status is present, not any time a Lightspeaker pet ever makes a kill.
* Fixed a series of issues where under some circumstances it was possible to get rid of a Dark Pact with outstanding Demands.
* Fixed touch attacks not factoring structure -25 defense into their accuracy.
* Solved an issue that could sometimes erroneously destroy a Relic.
* Dark Oppressors should be able to sell demonic innates to nonevils now for the low, low price of Your Soul.
* (probably) Fixed some inconsistencies with pet retaliation targeting. Summoner attackers may or may not cause their pets to all drop what they're doing and acquire the attacker as a target. Something may occur. Do not be alarmed.
Minor Bugs:
* Fixed dying to trapped fonts not generating a corpse/not running typical death-related side effects.
* Fixed Healing Aura reducing Sorcerers Might by 3 minutes rather than 1 minute per action taken.
* Fixed counter-auras (currently just acid blood) not showing the user the appropriate final damage amount.
* If Hex of Nullity eliminates Shadow of the Wolf, it should now dispel any Wolves that the Revenant summoned.
* Clarified the message when a buyback limits your allowable skill purchases to explain what the actual issue is.
* Fallen with Empyreal Bond will now display the actual MP cost to respawn.
* Fixed Elementalist water pets cold resist not functioning.
* Fixed an issue where Cloak of Earths Immanence didn't display a barricade-building bonus it granted.
* Solved a bug where Dark Priesthood users couldn't reanimate a vassal if more than one corpse of that vassal was present.
* Fixed a bizarre relic of old B3 tileflipping that was wiping special tiles with unique interiors whenever infusion was performed on the tile.
