Patch Notes - 2022 October 6th

Game Mechanics
  • This won't have any real impact for a while, but Evil NPCs will pledge fealty to an NPC Dark Oppressor if one is present and has vassal slots available.
  • The Spellgem Affinity prayer result, which as of recent changes does nothing, has been removed.
  • The Arcane Lodestone faction upgrade, which as of recent changes does nothing, has been removed.
  • Mountain Railway and Subterranean Railway tiles have half movement for Transcends.
  • After some experimentation with putting feral pets in default factions meant reduced XP opportunities for members of those factions, they're back to being truly factionless.
  • Conjure Sinews and Strength potions enhance building of Fortifications by 5 HP per AP each.
Quality of Life and Interface
  • Divine Resolve granted by Cloak of Ineffable Mystery (which wasn't working until now, see below) will not force daytime search on Good-aligned Revenants for which it would be a debuff.
Major Bugs
  • Deaths via Nimbus of Judgment were not applying several of the common effects of death such as a notification and a corpse.
  • Fixed the most likely cause of an issue where Divine Resolve with Ineffable Mystery wasn't really applying daytime nor visible to users.
  • Call Demons and Homing Beacon now leave behind superheavy items.
  • Removed Cosmic Affinity (which has no effect when pacted) from the list of skills and spells eligible to be sold via Dark Pact. All extant Cosmic Affinity pacts are now Desecration pacts.
  • Adjusted potion recombining to work correctly when the item to be converted into is an oil, unguent or incense.
  • Addressed an issue where superheavies could be brought into buildings but not out of them.
  • Fixed a bug that kept spellgems from working when attacking characters or pets.
  • Fixed a bug that kept Emergency Bunker from doing anything.
Minor Bugs
  • Capacity to set strongholds in non-Evil factions was blocked if you were a Vassal, which should not be happening. Without Barricades, the main point of this contingency is infusion.
  • Fixed an issue where food and alcohol sometimes spawned with varying conditions, thus making for a confusing and ineffective Drop All button.
  • Buying back or otherwise removing Pledge Vassals now correctly releases all Vassals held.
