Game Mechanics
  • Tileflipping has been enabled for all three Outer Planes (Elysium, Stygia and Purgatorio). At a threshold level of Good, Evil or Unaligned infusion, tiles in these planes will transform into buildings or terrain more suited to the infusion type being applied. Tiles deeply infused to their own plane's side (e.g. Good tiles in Elysium) will usually stay the same as their base - changes will largely be done by invasions from hostile forces (like the four going on right now). Cordillera is not tileflippable at this time.
  • Tower Transformation has been detached from infusion tileflipping. A tile altered with Tower Transformation will become a Tower regardless of its infusion state.
  • Holier than Thou has been completely removed from the game and the few characters who had it have had their CP refunded. This skill was always a failure at what it was supposed to do (counter Good vs Good) and was more likely to be misused in pursuit of Good vs Good instead, a thing the Good Elder Powers are smart enough in-universe to recognize. In both mechanics and lore, the existence of this skill clashed with the way things are supposed to work. Other features have been added since this skill to make morality smarter - better stronghold overrides, morality inertia, finer distinctions between "sinning" and "spending" morality, Lightspeaker pets defending more intelligently, Redeemed skill repricing, etc. We are always looking to improve the Morality system and this skill simply doesn't fit as a part of it.
  • The Heavenly Host, Legions of the Abyss and Freedom Array will now only set strongholds on sites with sufficient infusion to take their strongholds.
Quality of Life and Interface
  • The rolling 3-day XP cap has been removed. The 22-hourly one remains, though.
  • Successful hunts on boss monsters will now tell people exactly how much damage the recipient of the top-damage-dealing badge did.
  • A few new character sprites have been added as options.
Major Bugs
  • Resolved a nasty edge case issue where Conjure Gun could be rendered permanently useless if the Wizard ran out of ammo with too low MP. Dropping the gun with sufficient MP now conjures another. Previously the gun was impossible to drop.
  • Fixed Archons being unable to use their Prayer Beads hotfix - 2024-05-10
  • Restructured pet movement as a whole in the code; this is a major shake-up in logic. Roaming pets should still act the same, but with less "going through stronghold wards" and "ignoring doors/glyphs".
  • Supplemental damage was not applying its damage to doors, glyphs and wards and has been rectified.
  • Corrected an issue causing the pet tick to break continuously in certain situations hotfix - 2024-05-12
  • Resolved the long-standing issue where once a tile had been converted with Tower Transformation it retained alchemy, smithing and gunsmithing capacity indefinitely even if the Tower was long gone.
Minor Bugs
  • Soul Shard pets (an edge case result of Pacts) will now go wild if the Pact-granting Dark Oppressor has opted to not autosummon pets in Character Settings.
