Would it be possible to apply the reloading AP discount to unloading and reloading firearms from your inventory?

It would make managing your ammunition when finding partially loaded guns easier.

now that i think about it it's a bit odd that it doesn't given the point of the skill is 'es does not pay ap to reload gun'

while going to sleep (and i was out for 12-13 hours apparently) half-feverdreamed fasthands being part of anti-ranged counter aura since the hth set has an aura (probably future counter-aura) component to it that and bypassing resist on a non-magical effect to kill an ib with fire or a wm with acid or an advo with unholy is like ???? so could be fluffed more

I agree it'd be a nice thing to have. Right now it's usually not worth it ap-wise to unload weapons for a few rounds.
