See title. For example, Desecrate when no corpses are present, Fly while indoors, etc.

This already confuses me when it happens to spells. What's wrong with the buttons being disabled?

It is oftentimes difficult to tell the difference between active and disabled buttons. At least for me.

Couldn't this be something we can toggle on/off in character settings?

The underlying reason why this feature was introduced was that laptop/desktop users pre-2018 constantly experienced an issue of buttons "jumping around" the page when circumstances changed, which led to clicking on stuff people didn't want to click on. We added it to keep button placement consistent and predictable.
If anything, there are current exceptions to this rule that should stop being exceptions.

That's a really great point, though Liche does good to point out that it sometimes isn't clear which buttons are greyed out vs which aren't.

Making disabled buttons easier to distinguish sounds like a great idea.
