Was reminded this was changed in the past, but it's back for Breath 5. Yeah, I don't think it's intended that because Namm is malding I can't change 'Laurentia' to 'Cordillera' in the description etc.

This was changed in the past but only for Unaligned.
Dev consensus when we discussed this was that these changes (unlike stronghold setting) are meta/flavor and should not be tied to morality. This has been disabled for a pending update.
Devs are still interested in more nuanced carrots/sticks to encourage factions to follow their alignment, but blocking you out of editing your description isn't it.
Disabling requirements for changes includes disabling the rails on setting a morality aligned state, thus locking yourself out of your faction. Caveat emptor.
