Alchemy issue with Lethargic Status (possibly?)

Found some red clay with my Pariah Heir of Night. Used it in alchemy 'cos it has a (U) next to it and is available. Only it didn't show up in a recipe. I just got the message as shown in the attachment. The clay was used up and I got the XP for using it, just... no recipe for which it is an ingredient. Seems a bit odd.

EDIT: had a similar problem with a sorcerer, Valar Morghulis and suspect it might have something to do with the lethargic thing? That's the common factor I'm seeing ATM

i also can see that all of my a(n) . results involve lethargic but i don't see any initial reason for it to forget the potion

got this again with Kerdassa Octavia. I don't know why lethargy causes this error but it is the only thing linking the three circumstances.
