Font MP was reduced when potions were sacrificed to it

I tapped into a leyline from the font Beyonders Howl (slashing-aspected) at 13, 11 in Purgatorio, bringing its MP total from 24 to 4. After rejuvenating a Sylph, I decided to sacrifice potions to the font and traveled to it. I set up (I think) 3 potions and then realized the MP on the font had gone from 4 to -9. Subsequent sacrifices then increased the MP on the font by 1 each time. The alcohol generated correctly and I believe 1 AP was used for each set up but each sacrifice only gave 5 XP regardless of type. The font symbol disappeared when the map was refreshed and I was not able to draw from the font when I attempted to rejuvenate a Cirri, so I assume it wasn't just a visual bug.

EDIT Sacrificed another potion and the font when negative again, from 6 MP to -3 MP- You reach out with your heightened magical sensitivity and open yourself to the magical power reserves of Beyonders Howl, tapping into them and allowing them to flow through you. (2022-03-10 20:37:01).
