OUR INNOVATIONS

PIMCO brings Nexal trading closer together through our two-part innovative programme: the PIMCO Public Ledger, and PIMCO Book Marks (Bkm).

PIMCO Public Ledger

Stored securely on our widely accessible Discord server, PIMCO supports transparent banking practices and anti-money laundering standards by publicly hosting all account records.

Simply check a proposed purchaser has the necessary funds ahead of any trade - then once the purchaser sends a transfer request to our staff, PIMCO will hold the funds in escrow until the exchange of goods or services has been completed.

PIMCO Book Marks (Bkm)

Books themselves, while a highly valued commodity, remain a weighty item to carry around! While this makes their use as a commodity-based currency unwieldy for most private uses, not so at PIMCO!

By issuing and designating a new commodity-backed currency "Book Marks", you can safely trade in Bkm while your underlying funds remain deposited with PIMCO. Our Bkm are weightless, and freely convertible with PIMCO into the Books themselves.

PRICING MODEL

PIMCO has a unique pricing model based on dual approach, utilising Books as a commodity currency, with Book Marks (Bkm) as a commodity-backed money. Think gold bars, and the old method where dollars and other currencies were directly exchangable at banks for their value in gold.

As PIMCO is establishing Books and Book Marks as a medium of exchange not just for our services, but with a view to their wider use throughout the Nexus, we are keen for market forces to dictate the value ascribed to goods and services denominaed in Bkm.

This means that we are setting a fixed exchange rate of Books to Bkm, but that costs for our services in Bkm will flex with market demands. For example, if sellers deem that the correct price for 6 potions is lower than PIMCO's initial guide price, our prices will flex to match market demands.


Our fixed exchange rate is as follows:

1 ALIGNED BOOK = 1 MUNDANE BOOK

1 BOOK = 10 BOOK MARKS (Bkm)

The rest of our pricing model follows the labour value attached to goods and services. As it costs 5 AP to harvest a book in a daytime, powered Library, this forms the baseline for our valuations.

1 BOOK = 5 AP = 10 Bkm


Nevertheless, in the interest of furthering uptake of this new currency model, PIMCO will be offering significant discounts on these pricings as we sincerely believe in the benefit of this model for the Nexal economy.

However, my masters degree in Infernal Behemoth Research has allowed me to prove that, in fact, RIPPING PEOPLE'S GUTS is power.

I shall therefore endeavor to not supporting this faulty currency, and to actively hamper such unpromising enterprise.

We do! Our price index is available on our Discord. We don't have a listing at present for comps, but depending on what you've got we're sure we can work out a price - come on by!
