Is there a number of each of the classes in the game that we can see?

Yes, on the character list page there's a button for "Global Character Stats". Click it once and again to confirm, then the page spits out a long list of class distribution and which skills, in aggregate, are picked.

The bit for Mortal is glitched, says there's 0 of 0.
