Horns + aura DO

Post by sohdbrimks »

Pretty simple and easy to play build, I just have one question: is it crazy to not buy the vassal skills? My faction already has 2 DOs with it so we're fine, and I guess if one of them quits some day I can buyback some skills and get Dark Priesthood for the teleportation.

As far as a non-spellcaster non-enchant user DO goes that looks fine. IS it actually fine? idk I've never been to wowed by the DO hth innate. suggest getting enchant + seal item because that's a FREE 6 soak and 12% dodge
get tiger's claw too

spell:Glyph of Slowing vs Good
So I would consider the following:
- Rank A is trivial to achieve so that's basically +30 CP
- Rank B as well, as it's very easy to achieve and unlocks Seal Enchantment
- The following changes to the original build
-- Boxing -> Conjure Sinews + Tiger Claw: CS is better than Boxing when bashing, TC is better when applying curses.
-- First Aid -> Reveal: Seeing the exact HP of your targets isn't quite relevant as you don't deal much damage, rough info is enough. If you need healing, Desecration, Potions & Blood Ice are much better options.
-- Scribe Pact + Rank A -> Enchant + Seal : Not that useful when you're missing Soul/Blood Vampire. Enchant + Seal allow for 6 soak against about everything, which is great against active defenses.
-- Corrosive Grasp -> Sixth Sense: Refund this once you get your innate weapon, as it's strictly inferior.
-- Doomsights: Get this with B rank CP, you'll apply an extra debuff on top of Defiler Poison & Blood Curse.

A similar take to the previous build, but assuming you don't bash on raids, as your factionmates ought to be better than you (particularly IBs).
This one focuses more on being very durable, as well as being able to apply both curses. I preferred Melee over HtH as they can both be used to improve Touch accuracy, and Melee has better baseline damage.
As your curses shine best when facing an active defense, a fair bit of CP has been spent making it more likely you survive said active defense to fight it with your curses.
Most notable are the absences of Dark Touch and Caustic/Corrosive Horns.
