Evil doors, moderately evil pariahs, mandatory skills

Fred Dullard found a locked door. The door did not have the Advanced Thrown Weapons skill, so you can guess what happened next. Much to Fred's dismay, he was unable to use Hellfire (or indeed Enervate) on the door. How is this even possible? "Who would take this skill? Why is it even in the game?" asked Fred. Fred may have to add this to his Skillz Enforcement Code.

So:
  • This gives Fred even more things to rant about when encountering a door, and that can't be bad.
  • Possibly doors laugh in the face of Enervate. Doors may be so fundamentally dastardly that they have no Defense, and possibly so inherently immoral as to not actually have conditions, or timers for those conditions.
  • There's nothing to suggest that doors are just inherently immune to charged attacks. If Fred wants to charge up his incompetent attacks, why shouldn't he? Eat hellfire, naughty door! Oop, missed again. Ok, this time for sure!
Incidentally, Fred is quite angry that he keeps missing a fairly large and quite immobile door at point-blank range, but then Fred never stops to consider just how remarkably incompetent he is at the Murdering Stuff skills. Very very competent at the Being Murdered skills, but actually hitting a door with a weapon, any weapon, not so much.

After a brief look at this, I'm going to call this one a Bug. Enervate does indeed do nothing against a door, but there are some other charged attacks like Hellfire and Smite that there's a practical use for. I don't know why this was turned off - or indeed if it was turned off or just never enabled.

In the next patch, charged attacks will work vs doors.
