Mundane Weapon ideas

Hi - so I'm currently working on making more weapons for the game, the idea is to give people more options, more roleplay options to customize your characters etc., so we don't have people running around only with swords or bows for example.

What I am specifically looking for is ideas, not necessarily stats, though feel free to post them to.

Also not looking for stuff that is special (like..I don't want boss drops for example, looking for just normal weaponry that isn't doing like ice damage or something)
Thanks!

Might be worthwhile summing up common weapons that we have currently before we get busy on new ones?

GUWAST - https://wiki.nexusclash.com/wiki/Grand_ ... pell_Table

The base weapons we have are already pretty comprehensive. And that's before we get into the wonderful goodies manufactured by the Lychwood Arms Company. There's a ton of melee weapons, a fair selection of firearms and a much smaller selection of archery, thrown and HTH weapons. All of those boil down to one or perhaps two best-in-class choices for each skill tree. IMO it's difficult to see where we can add other commons except, perhaps, to reinstate the Torch for those of us who occasionally enjoy going Angry Villager(tm) mode.

(Pretty sure there will be a few somewhere in the discarded suggestions forum. Over the years a few of mine were promoted but there will doubtless be others.)

Do British angry mobs carry flashlights?

I would like to remind you, just in case, that "new weapons" does not necessarily mean "different weapon stats". There is nothing in game code that prevents us from making a duplicate weapon type that has exactly the same stats as some existing weapon type and differs only in name. Kraufen's query is (in my opinion) more about increasing available "flavour palette" than designing completely new things.
