Radiant Storm (AoE-Redeemed) try-out (results)

Yesterday my beloved former demon brethren from Oblivion Squadron were the target of a field test of this Area of Attack-skill.

I can provide a full log but this is a summary of the 9 times "Lucifer" tested this skill:

1. Your attack affected 38 characters and/or pets and killed 1 pet. Total damage done was 138, total effective soaks were 62, total ignored soaks were 0, and total applied soaks were 58. (2022-05-03 15:05:14).

2. Your attack affected 23 characters and/or pets. Total damage done was 123, total effective soaks were 84, total ignored soaks were 0, and total applied soaks were 80. (2022-05-03 15:05:18).

3. Your attack affected 37 characters and/or pets and killed 2 pets. Total damage done was 165, total effective soaks were 49, total ignored soaks were 0, and total applied soaks were 46. (2022-05-03 15:05:24).

4. Your attack affected 25 characters and/or pets. Total damage done was 134, total effective soaks were 68, total ignored soaks were 0, and total applied soaks were 66. (2022-05-03 15:05:29).

5. Your attack affected 34 characters and/or pets and killed 3 pets. Total damage done was 180, total effective soaks were 21, total ignored soaks were 0, and total applied soaks were 18. (2022-05-03 15:05:35).

6. Your attack affected 21 characters and/or pets and killed 1 pet. Total damage done was 176, total effective soaks were 26, total ignored soaks were 0, and total applied soaks were 23. (2022-05-03 15:05:44).

7. Your attack affected 39 characters and/or pets. Total damage done was 127, total effective soaks were 77, total ignored soaks were 0, and total applied soaks were 71. (2022-05-03 15:05:49).

8. Your attack affected 30 characters and/or pets and killed 1 pet. Total damage done was 153, total effective soaks were 58, total ignored soaks were 0, and total applied soaks were 51. (2022-05-03 15:05:51).

9. Your attack affected 27 characters and/or pets and killed 1 pets and 1 characters, a veterinary care assistant. Total damage done was 155, total effective soaks were 48, total ignored soaks were 0, and total applied soaks were 45. (2022-05-03 15:05:53).

Average dmg: 150 (rounded slightly down) @ 5AP = 30 dmg dealt per AP.
Note; this attack costs: 5AP, 10HP, 5MO each and every time you do this)

Just FYI. I am not overwhelmed by its effectiveness. But it is not bad either. (IMO)

I'd also like to point out that pets don't retaliate against AoE attacks
Which could be a good or bad thing depending of which side of the Petmaster Question you stand on

Ah! I *did* wonder why I was left alone in my virtuous endeavours.

That's pretty solid. 30 damage per AP isn't extreme efficiency, but it's better than most classes can achieve directly attacking, and you can dump it in seconds. I don't think forts were completely busted at that point, either.

Per AP the AoE is certainly decent enough.
But you have to bear in mind the HP/Morality cost too I think.

Do note I have no desire to 'un-learn' this skill.
