For the same reason as alt-interactions. So if you play once a day and hit the cap you don't have to watch your clock for when you can play again.

I second this. Super annoying to time my potion sacs due to the cap. And this is at a time where the xp cap itself is largely ineffectual cuz almost everyone is maxxed anyways. I'd rather see it gone but I'll take this over nothing.

+1 to shortening xp limit, +1 to removing the exp cap entirely late in the breath
anybody who cares to be maxxed is already maxxed, anybody coming in late or resetting gets gimped
