Classes: Giving the ability to write on walls to more skills

Post by Zanahoria78 »

I think it's really cool that certain classes can use innate weapons to write messages, so I thought of ways to add that kind of flavor to the rest of the roster. Obviously this would be a low priority change, but it can't be that difficult to add and it adds personality to each class.

-Advocates with Divine Vessel can project the holiness of their voices, infusing the wall with sacred words. (You pronounce a divine truth, and the echoes of your holy sermon spell out "..." on the wall for all to see./Someone has written "..." in gilded, blazing words on the wall here.)

-Lightspeakers with Keepers Crook can channel the idyllic nature of Elysium to write messages with vines. (You trace your Crook across the wall, leaving a trail of vines that say "..."/Someone has written "..." in vines on the wall here.)

-Redeemed with Candle of the Soul can leave messages in letters of softly glowing candlelight. (You write "..." on the wall using the candle of your soul, leaving a flickering message./Someone has written "..." in flickering, pale blue letters on the wall here.)

-Eternal Soldiers with Way of the Fast Hands can spell messages with bullet holes. (You empty the chamber of your gun in a blur, leaving a spread of bullet holes spelling "..." on the wall./Someone has written "..." in bullet holes on the wall here.)

-Nexus Champions with Tattoo of Resistance can write with the ink covering their bodies. (You place your hands against the wall, and the ink flows from your arms to form the words "..."/Someone has written "..." in flowing, shifting ink on the wall here.)

-Sorcerers and their T3 exits with Deep Spellcraft can create messages of magical power. (You gesture at the wall and mutter words of power, and soon purple glyphs stating "..." manifest themselves./Someone has written "..." in arcane glyphs on the wall here.)

-Dark Oppressors with Scribe Pact can leave messages in unholy letters. (You channel your demonic curse and use it to infuse the wall with your terrible will, proclaiming "..." in warped, ashen script./Someone has written "..." in warped, unholy letters on the wall here.)

-Wyrm Masters with Mutagenic Touch can write by creating diseased organic matter. (You shiver with ecstasy as you spread the madness of Tholaghru onto the very walls, defiling them with the message "..."/Someone has written "..." in decaying, bloated flesh on the wall here.)

-Fallen with Bond of the Mechanical can write messages in oil stains. (You slice open a vein and use the pungent oil within to write "..." on the wall./Someone has written "..." in acrid oil stains on the wall here.)

And those are the ones I could come up with. Again, I know flavor comes second to gameplay, but I think details like these make the game feel more unique. Feel free to add more if you come up with them.

I like this suggestion a *lot*. It's a really neat way to say "this class was here". And I don't think it's possible to have too many writing implements in Nexus, anyway.

I want my Conduit to be able to bend the space-time continuum to put graffiti from another time and place onto a wall.
