1. Do not reply to a suggestion after it has been promoted or dumped.
2. Search for any suggestions similar to your Suggestion.
(Search by the name, item or skill in the Suggestion Dump and on the main Suggestion forum.)
3. Include the following in your thread title
Preface your title with DRAFT if you are soliciting feedback before formally making a suggestion. Once you feel the suggestion is ready to go, edit the title to remove DRAFT. If a suggestion thread has seen no movement for a couple of weeks, the dev team will assume DRAFT no longer applies.
Game Aspect : Descriptive title of Suggestion
Example: "Weapons : Addition of Rocket Launcher.”
Game Aspect must be one of following options:
- Interface : General Discussion of interface of the game
- Factions : Changes or adding to Factions
- Gameplay : general game play issues such as AP rates/new player interaction
- Spells : general spell casting and powers
- Pets: new pets, or modifications to existing ones.
- Weapons : new/old items that are used to damage players
- Items : items useful or not
- Crafting : abilities that interact with an item to either repair or make an item
- Skills : skills that allow interaction/action or bonuses to a non-combat action
- Combat : a general action that damages another player
- Map : changes to the map or environment
- Other : a general catch all that should be rarely used
- Classes : modifications to the existing classes (names, flavor, etc. NOT SKILLS). This too should be rarely used.
- Stronghold : new stronghold improvements, modifications to the existing ones
Your descriptive title should be clear and tell everyone what you are changing. If you are changing a Class or adding skills to a Class that MUST be included in the thread title.
If you are suggesting a skill, do not name your thread:
"Void Walker skill: Ultrahug"
but
"Skills: Ultrahug (Void Walker)".
4. Do Not Include "Flavor" Text or Fiction
It muddies up the suggestion and makes it difficult to read. More difficulty in reading = more likely that it will get dumped.
5. Only One Suggestion Per Thread. Please stop putting multiple suggestions in the same thread.
6. Do not keep re-editing your first post, it is confusing because it can make later posts seem out of context. Instead, when you think your suggestion is complete, put the final version of your suggestion in your final post and in that post write "FINAL SUBMISSION" so we can find it.
GENERAL PROCEDURES
* If an idea is not feasible, the thread is incorrectly titled or is user/devteam rejected it will be moved to the suggestion dump. Those which can be modified may be have a note to that effect from a moderator. IF YOU SIMPLY REPOST THE SAME THREAD OR PREVIOUS SUGGESTED IDEA IT WILL BE DUMPED OR DELETED.
* If your idea is presented in proper format and appears feasible/intriguing, it will be left in the main suggestion forum. Suggestions deemed worthwhile by user comments or at mod discretion will be moved elsewhere for further consideration.
* You may post a previously done suggestion IF AND ONLY IF YOU BRING SOMETHING COMPLETELY NEW TO IT.
* Do not post suggestions to modify or improve things that have not been implemented yet (pending changes and similar). These will be deleted.
* Do not reply in a thread after an admin has said yay or nay to a suggestion.
* Remember that the whole point of Suggestions is to improve the game for everyone, not to customize it for your personal needs.
Suggestions is a forum designed specifically for players to offer ideas to the dev team.
The idea is not to post random ideas off the top of your head but to make thoughtful, useful suggestions followed by equally thoughtful and useful comments.
Rules for responding to a suggestion thread
- * Don't just reply with "I like it" or "this sucks".
* Be helpful and constructive in your responses. People post here because they like the game and feel personally invested in it.
* Don't make personal attacks on the person making the suggestion or other posters. Flaming only feeds trolls and intimidates people who want to make serious suggestions.
* Don't troll or make shit posts here. Such posts will be deleted.
* Stay on topic. Posts unrelated to original suggestion may be moved or deleted.
* Don't bump your own suggestions or other suggestions you like just for them to be read by more people. Post only if you have something meaningful to say.
* If you wish to point out that a suggestion is a duplicate of another suggestion, please provide a link to the other thread.
* Do not argue about what consists of a rules violation. The mods know how to do their jobs and neither need nor appreciate backseat modding
This is not a spam forum. This is a forum for making and developing suggestions for the game. If you cannot say something that contributes to the discussion, either for or against a suggestion, say nothing at all.
If a post has been moved to the Suggestions Dump, it is closed for further discussion. Do not create a new thread to reopen debate. If you feel strongly that an idea needs reconsideration, please PM a Suggestions moderator.
